August 31, 2006 · 8 Comments

Since it’s a holiday and I don’t feel like going out to spend any more $$ so do what? Blog & surf the net la! Then Flowsnow came online and we chatted. I invited her and family over for lunch. Ah..since long time no see also..it’s always great to catch up with friends. I noticed that Whitehorse was very well behaved the whole time he was here! I say, Flowsnow, you really did a good job..keep it up!

As usual, Flowsnow brought her terrer canggih camera to take photos of my lil princess! Hmm..dunno why her camera always focused on my princess leh…does this mean she’s desperate to have a daughter herself?? hmmmm….

She took about 50 photos of her but it just took too long for her to transfer over so she sent one first.

Do you LISTEN or just HEAR ??

August 29, 2006 · 12 Comments

How rude can somebody be? I really cannot tahan (tolerate) those people who keeps cutting in and don’t give you a chance to talk. Have you come across this type of people?

Well, since I’m in the sales line, I’m most “fortunate” to come across this type of people. They claim that they they are not well versed in laundry and then they keep cutting in when I try to explain..HALLO! How the “L” are you going to understand if you do not listen? One very important factor is when one DOES NOT LISTEN. Hearing is one thing but LISTENING is another thing.

So because that person did not listen to what I said, he misinterpreted my intentions and went around accusing me of all sorts! Gosh! Moreover, he kept saying that his company is so big and famous bla bla bla…but so what? At the end of the day big or small, they have to pay for what is given to them, even information. I know of big companies which spent millions on consultation fees but I am only asking for a miserable amount to cover my costs only and they refuse to pay and accuse me of threatening them and forcing them to buy my machine. Wah! How to force somebody to buy huh? Can teach ah? So easy, just force people to buy and if that can work I am multi millionaire by now ler…

This actually happens in a marriage too…when we communicate, it means talking and listening..but most of the time either party is talking too much and/or not much listening which leads to arguments and worse still..divorse..agree or not??

Elephant on the road

August 28, 2006 · 2 Comments

Huh? As if not enough from the zoo, we saw an elephant being transported on a truck on our way to church yesterday. Kieran was so excited and kept calling out to the elephant..Then the elephant turned around as if it heard Kieran calling out to him. We can see that it was getting kind of restless and saw the trainer climbing out to calm it down..

After reading the papers this morning I guessed it was the same elephant..

Let’s go to the zoo, there’s lots of things to do…

August 28, 2006 · 3 Comments

Hey remember this song, “let’s go to the zoo, there’s lots of things to do and the food is finger licking good…” the old KFC song but now the restaurant has been replaced with Marrybrown Chicken pulak..ok la can also…

Anyway, we went to the zoo last Saturday. Supposedly to have Oscar & mum joining us but Oscar was still not feeling well so better not go..so sad…

So..with the ding dong ding dong in the morning, (had to go to market first cos seriously…nothing left in the fridge..no more!! zilch!) we arrived at the zoo quite late about 11 plus morning. Wah the queue was like so long ledi…

Wah the sun was like going to melt you to jelly liddat lor..my poor lil princess was soaking wet before we even entered the zoo. But Kieran was so excited about this trip (notice his plastic camera grin on photos) eventhough he was sweating too. Him being the usual whinner would have complained but because it’s the zoo…he kept quiet! He just loves coming to the zoo..even Kylie seems to have enjoyed herself. She was supposed to be sleeping by then but she stayed up till 2.00p.m.! She pointed at the animals and said “oooo… ooo..” l actuallly taught her how to make the sound of a lion, she goes “arrggghh…” opening her mouth so big and has a vicious look! Unfortunately, by the time we reached the lion’s den she was fast alseep! Too bad…

We actually walked around the whole zoo without hopping on the train cos the queue was so darn long. But Kieran insisted must go on the train so after we finished watching the elephant show, daddy went with him on the train ride while we relaxed in the air-conditioned room sponsored by Ribena..cool!

Video coming up..wah i had a footage of the ostridge doing his big business lor…so ewwwwwwwwww….

Nasi Lemak today

August 25, 2006 · 9 Comments

Wah in the mood to post about food suddenly..hehehe..today I made nasi lemak for lunch and it took me almost 2 hours plus man! Waliau, at times like these, I think of my mom’s previous maid who’s work for her for 8 years+. Anytime we want to eat food like nasi lemak (hard and time consuming preparation type of food) we can just tell her and wala…here it is and it tasted darn good also! Of course la, she was well trained by my dad ma… But she’s become too “powderful” as she was very efficient. I think she’s been a 2 headed snake too, as we never had a maid who could work long when she’s around! Don’t know what she tells them…She also had the goldenfinger, most of time putting us in hot soup with mom…e.g.

Mom - who did that?

Maid - your son/daughter/daughter-in-law etc la…

And the worst part is, mom believes her all the time! PUI!

Anyway back to my nasi lemak, aiya long time no cook, didn’t turn out that good but edible la..looks good on photo tho,,,kekekeke

Last minute lunch

August 25, 2006 · 1 Comment

I’ve not been to the market for 2 weeks now so not much choice of ingredients in the fridge. I don’t like to buy meat/fish from the supermarket unless it’s the imported ones la..So for lunch yesterdayI decided to make carbonara as we had bolognese last week. Sked my staff get bored with my food, so must come up with more variety la!

Actually I don’t have the proper recipe so cincai hantam la! ( simply cook).

Recipe

Ingredients - Bombay onions (I ran out and used the red ones but turned out ok oso wor), Garlic, olive oil, spaghetti/fettucine etc (I only had spaghetti), cooking cream, potatoes, beef/pork bacon (anything la but I only had those so I added sausages too, the one with the cheese filling..really fattening…nevermind la..once in a while).

Method

  • Chop onions & garlic
  • Cut bacon pieces into small tiny pieces & fry on pan (till crispy) without any oil cos the bacon oredi so fat, in fact it produced enough oil to fry another dish but yucks la..i throw! eeeee..
  • Boil potatoes before hand and mash it.
  • Fry onions & garlic with olive oil on pan till fragrant.
  • Add in mashed potato and then cream. Then add in the meat stuff (but in my case I didn’t have any) or the fried sausages.
  • Add water as required and then corn flour solution to thicken the gravy (may not be needed since there’s the mashed potato).
  • Finally after it’s done, add in the crispy bacon pieces.
  • Pour over spaghetti/fettucine.

Simple or not?? Turned out not bad oso wor! But then again…very zhai..(jelat/stuffed!)
