Mummy Loves You Very Much

You are the apple of mummy’s eye even though you make me scream & shout at you. No matter what you are still my beloved son, I love you Kieran, I love you so much that I am afraid I am not good enough a mother to you. Mummy tend to worry too much and seem to be a little (yah rite) hard on you….ok ok…maybe too hard on you. It pains me so much when I cane and punish you and when you cry mummy’s heart cries too….Mummy have said this to you so many times…”Go away! Don’t disturb me…”, mummy does not mean it, mummy wants you to come and talk to me all the time but when mummy is busy with something else mummy forgets that you need to talk to me….I am sorry darling….will you still love me?? Will you still wish mummy “Happy Mother’s Day”?

This post is inspired by MOTT’s email to me. Thanks Mott for reminding me of something, Love Conquers All, I will try to give and show him more love in the future….

I don’t know about you guys but I find mothering so tough at times, I’m still learning each day and am so glad that I have you guys with me in this learning process. I just wanna take this opportunity to wish all mothers a very Blessed and Happy Mother’s day!

Look at that supposedly innocent and adorable face…but I am really at wit ends in dealing with Kieran nowadays, the password protect on the cartoon channels doesn’t seem to work now, instead he wants to watch Animal Planet, National Geographics, no not that it’s not good but his addiction to tv is still incurable! I can’t blame him though since I’m also a tv addict. But his case, when he’s watching tv, he’s like absorbed into the tv, doesn’t know how to respond until I change the channel!

The tuition teacher complains that he’s been too dependent on help with his homework. She revealed that his form teacher made him sit at the back as he is too talkative and playful! I was quite upset and went to see her today at the school.

The moment I saw her and told her I’m Kieran’s mother and her expression was like OMG, she let out a heavy sigh and shook her head! (like oh no that hopeless case of a boy kind of expression lei…can imagine or not??) The conversation below was conducted in Mandarin and I was really struggling too with my broken mandarin…

Me-Sorry but I heard that you made Kieran sit at the back. I don’t think it’s a good idea…

T-Kieran is very talkative, doesn’t  listen and never finish copying the homework from the board.

Me-Yeah I know but putting him at the back wouldn’t it be worse?

T-I have to threaten him with the cane and all sorts in order to get him to listen or do any work..

Me-Oh please I am all for the cane, beat him if you must..

T-I have beaten him before, but he’s very difficult. I have even asked him to sit on the floor as punishment..He always doesn’t complete his homework. Even during the exam, I had to scold him in order to get him going at the paper…

(WTF? sit on the floor? what kind of punishment is that?)

Me-Errr..I know that in Kuen Cheng they have a small booklet where the student writes the homework for the day so we can cross check.

T-Oh yes, we have it too, but most of the time, they are not able to write it in the booklet as they write too slowly. So I usually ask them to circle the pages and then segregate the books which contains the homework.

(Alamak!)

Me-Errr..but I think you should try to arrange to put him in front, maybe seclude him, in a desk all by himself.

T-I will try. Oh the other day after PE, the girls were changing in one room and Kieran went to peek by opening the window. So one of the girls panicked and closed the window too hard and the glass broke! I was so upset that day, the glass could have hurt the children..

(OMG!  I was sooooo embarassed…)

Me-Please try to put him in front…and don’t give up on him..

T-Ok ok I will see what I can do…

Me-Thank you, sorry to trouble you.

I called Apah and told him about Kieran and he just kept quiet and then said we shouldn’t bring him to Disneyland HK then. We were planning to bring him to HK with us this coming June, since Apah has a meeting there. I really cannot take it lor, the first thing is this, thinking how to save the hassle and $$ again. That’s not the point. I felt that this trip could be good as we can spend time with him alone without Kylie around (yes sorry, planning to dump Kylie at mom’s place, she’s too young to know what’s Disneyland is so don’t plan to waste the $$ la).

Will try to have a good talk with Kieran tonight and see what happens..wish me all the best!

Warning-major long post-Insurance Claim

May 7, 2007 · 17 Comments

Sorry folks, been so busy. Ok, here’s my promised post on the insurance claim procedure..

This procedure applies when you need to claim 3rd Party insurance

Since my mom’s car is still under warranty we felt we should send it back to Toyota for the repairs, besides we are claiming 3rd party insurance, let them pay la!

The moment I reached Toyota (body repair available at Sec19 brance besides the one at Padang Jawa), saw my friend and he claimed that their service is very good…then when it was our turn, nightmare started (not Toyota’s fault la) Since I didn’t know what to do, we only brought our police report but it’s not enough of course! Other documents needed:

  1. 3rd Party Police Report (Original)
  2. Sketch Plan of the accident (Original)
  3. Police  Investigation Letter (Original)
  4. JPJ Search for 3rd Party insurance particular (Original)
  5. Police Report (Original)
  6. Registration card both side (Copy)
  7. Polic/cover note (Copy)
  8. Claim form (insurance claim form)
  9. Insured IC & License (Copy)
  10. Driver’s IC & License (Copy)

(Item 1 - 3 to get from police station. The time when my mom made the police report, the police should have advised that those documents were needed but of course they didn’t la! What to do, mom got to go la!)

So no choice, mom got to go back to the police station while I go back to arrange for the other documents. We called the 3rd party to try to get his insurance particulars but he was not cooperative of course! So what to do, got to go to JPJ. Since it’s not to far from where I live, so I went the next day. The queue was long, waited almost one hour and when it was my turn, they needed my mom’s IC copy instead of mine (cos person that made the report was my mom..duhhhh!) Double & triple blecccchhhhhhhhhhh! SEI MOH??? Got to rush back la! But it was Friday so the lunch break in that fantastic department was extra long and I had a delivery & training at Kajang in the afternoon lei!

So upon reaching office, called the customer and asked if it was ok for me to go then so I can still go back to JPJ after 2.45pm. Thank God the customer obliged so I zoomed to the customer’s place and thank goodness the training was smooth and customer was not the long winded type!

Then zoomed back to pick my mom up just in case they want the original as well…but we don’t have a copy so got to make a copy at JPJ (very expensive photocopying!).

How to do a search on 3rd party insurance details

Get form from Information Counter

Get queue number  & then only fill in the form cos the queue is so dem long one..

Once they called our number, we had a slight problem as there were 3 cars involved. We wanted to take the other 2 person’s info although the Toyota guy advised that we need to take only the car which hit the car behind my mom which then hit my mom’s car. Unfortunately when my mom made the police report she forgot to put in the detail of the 3rd car and only mentioned the car behind her! So careless but again, since she’s a senior citizen, shouldn’t the police be the one who should advise her?? In fact the report was prepared by the police and they left that so important information out! So the JPJ guy also gave us a hard time as he really was clearly overworked and didn’t have the patience to hear us out.

Me- so macam mana?

JPJ-jumpa officer!

Me-Mana?

totally ignoreed me and called for the next number!

Me-?????  WTF!

We moved to the cubicle which I guessed was the place we wait to see the officer but that guy didn’t call for one lei! Otoke??? Then I walked back to the number counter to ask and she told next door. There was indeed an officer there and she was attending to someone so I gestured for mom to go there while I continued to wait for the application for one car first.

Then it turned out the officer which my mom was waiting was not the one in charged of such cases! Double shiaks! Thanks to a kind samaritan (those runners there la) he called out the phantom officer (neh the empty booth just now). Then the officer was very patient or probably got too confused and didn’t want to complicate things further, went on to process the information for us and it was faster than the one which I was waiting for! Triple shiaks!

So make sure you guys know the facts before going to gaomen departments ok!!

So freaking busy

May 3, 2007 · 14 Comments

It’s been the most gila-red week as not only my car got bang-ded, my mom’s car also was hit from behind! Just went through the whole shitty process of getting reports from the police and submitting to the car repair workshop. I will list down all the do’s and don’ts later when I find the time.

Still no news on the CCTV case, my brother was supposed to go and check it out and we may have to try to get some inside help to get more cooperation from the security office.

We had quite an eventful 2-days break but I have no time to blog about it yet! Maybe this weekend la! But just wanna write something before you think I died-ded!

Cheers!! :D

psssttt….sorry folks, no time to go blog hopping too! Will try to catch up during the weekend!! I’LL BE BACK!
