Slack-ier or rather Slack-iest Mom!

January 22, 2008 · 40 Comments

Just read about Mott saying how slack she was but I think I’m the slack-iest of them all lor…and I only have 2 kids! Gosh! In a way, it’s a good thing that I’m advised to not have any more kids after Kylie due to gestational diabetes. Cos if I have one more, I may even leave one at the mall without realising it! Sei em sei? (Am I so dead or not?)

Why so slack? Cos middle of last night Kylie was coughing very badly. Then she threw up and I couldn’t move her on time! So some went on the bed, her pjs & the floor mat outside the bathroom. She was crying and didn’t want to be touched or cleaned. So I just left her as she was! But I changed the sheet and put her back to the bed. However, she rolled down onto the floor mat (which has some of her puke) and I saw her from the corner of my eye and guess what??? I didn’t bother and left her there! *Smack*

This morning, woke up and quietly sneaked out so that I don’t wake up my princess and went down to take a peep at Kieran (who’s still sleeping) only to realise that the curtains in the room were not drawn apart! Poor Kieran sleeping in a stuffy room! *Smack Smack*

Then after that, I went to watch tv, surfing through the channels and of course lil princess heard the tv & woke up! She called out to mummy but what did mummy do? Just answered from downstairs and called out to her to come down herself! Then Apoh (grandma) came to her rescue. *Smack smack smack*

When lil princess came down, I was still lying down on the couch and didn’t move an inch even to hug her! That’s so bad…called out to mom’s maid to make her milk! Can u beat that laziness??? Then when Apoh came down, she purrred at Apoh and said this, “Doh away mammie…doh wann mammie…” OMG!! Apoh was of course very happy to hear that cos it’s another chance to condemn me! So of course she echoed..”Yes throw away mummy, lousy mummy! Say bye mummy!” And guess what? I still laid there motionless staring at the tv and didn’t bother! *Smack smack smack smack*

Then I received a call in the office..

Mom – Hey did you feed your daughter her medicine?

Me – YIKESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS! errr no lor…

Mom – Aiya you ah..terrible mother…what kind of mother are you…..

………click….

*SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK SMACK!!!!*

Oh gosh! What’s happened to me?? So lazy (that’s what Apah & Apoh always say to me!)

Update on Kylie 32 months

January 19, 2008 · 21 Comments

Kylie turns 32 months tomorrow..

Here’s a  backdated photo of her dancing…she loves to dance…(too lazy to load the video..)

There was once she was bugging me to bring her swimming but I was too lazy bz .. she was already in her pjs & still wanna wear her swimsuit!

There has been new development in her vocabulary..

I wannn wimming…. – I want swimming

I wannnnn – I want

doe wannnn – don’t want

reee – carry me

i wan chor cho/cis/curt/kik/cher cher- i want chocolate/cheese/biscuit/cake/water

two, treee. four, five. siiix, seven, eat (8) … i think that’s it…notice that one is missing? Yeah she doesn’t say one! She starts counting from 2!

I wan mannn – I want either Spiderman or Batman or whatever man toy from Kor kor

(in fact she wants whatever that Kor kor has in his hands!)

Bad habit – scratching her head

toast er door – close the door

o pennn er door – open the door

She’s able to complain if there’s anyone who actually beat her…

It will sound something like this..

tor tor/che che/daddy/mammie beeet..(shows action of beating)

She likes to ask where is either one of us..

Ahhhhhhh daddie?/mammie?/tor tor? – where is daddy/mummy/kor kor etc

Mom told me she said this while the maid was climbing a ladder to wipe the lights..

tatak b airfulll, ahh jatuhh – Kakak (maid) be careful, you will jatuh (fall down)

If she finds us having difficulty understanding her, she will pull our hand towards whatever she wants us to do or take for her.

Attempts to eat on her own but it’s always a mess…

She has a very unique way of talking and it’s quite contagious as I tend to talk like her too!! I know it’s not right as I’m supposed to encourage her to talk properly..but I really can’t help it!!

She gets all whinny & sobby at times (or rather all the time) and that can really get on our nerves as we know it’s fake tears trying to manipulate the situation. Other times, she’s quite a jolly lil girl, and she will always walk up to say goodbye to Apoh (grandma) to hug & kiss her before we leave for home. Yesterday she walked up knocking on Apoh’s door & kept calling her but Apoh was out..I kept telling her Apoh was not in but she insisted on hugging & kissing Apoh before going home! *slaps forehead*

Loves to bully my nephew, snatching whatever toy he has his hands on (same routine with Kieran, despite the fact that Kieran is older & bigger in size). If she doesn’t get her way, she will smack my nephew! Yikes…that’s why I dread sending her to nursery as I’m afraid the kids will suffer from this big little bully!

I have yet to work on her thumb sucking habit. She sucks each time she holds her comfort piggy bolster and it helps to keep her really quiet & to get into the sleeping mode so that’s the main reason why I’ve not attempted to remove that piggy bolster…

Random Conversation..

January 18, 2008 · 18 Comments

Been busy and I mean really busy till no time to blog woi! Terrible! So die die me staying up burning the midnight oil to put this up before I forget..

One of the many conversations I’ve heard from my customers…

Consumer – Here’s my 2000 over dollars jacket, be careful with it ok. It’s very expensive!!

The Launderer proceeds to mark down the items and attach the prices for the cleaning..

Consumer – Wah RM18 to dry clean this jacket (the 2000 over dollar one) ah?

Launderer -  Yes, this is big jacket..(stupid answer lor..cos if it’s me I will charge double the price and tell him it’s bcos the jacket is sooooo expensive, hence extra care & precaution is needed)

Consumer – eh I give so many things to wash, comforter and all cannot be cheaper meh??

(Warao eh,,, owner of 2000 over dollars jacket wanna bargain meh??)

That’s what I hate most. I wonder if that person bargained when he bought that 2000 over dollars jacket? I mean, like he expects the launderer (poor guy who’s probably earning like say maybe RM8 (or less if he sends the dry cleaning to another contractor) from cleaning that 2000 over dollars jacket and having the stress of taking care of it and making sure it doesn’t get damage or lost! Is that worth it or not? I actually have customers (dry cleaners) telling me they suffer from so much stress and sometimes have nightmares because of having to handle expensive garments.

It’s high time that people give us people in the laundry business the due respect man! Hey first thing first why did he send his 2000 over dollars jacket to a laundry to wash? If he’s so smart, and not willing to pay for the laundry charges, why did he not wash the 2000 over dollars jacket at home? I mean, there is a freaking good reason that dry cleaners exist in this world right? Meaning, they are professionals too because they do what most people can’t do, that is dry clean their 2000 over dollars jackets la! Get my point by now??? WTF!

Backdated – Holiday Activities Part 2

January 9, 2008 · 22 Comments

Went to KLCC one day (my quest was to complete visiting all the malls in KL to capture the Christmas deco…but I managed to cover the main malls only) to bring the kids out and do some Christmas shopping, saja la..excuse to shop only…and of course to try out my new toy.

Had to meet up MamaPumpkin on the way there to return her curtains but I was so blur and missed the turning into the restaurant she was eating so she had to come to KLCC to meet me in one of the drop off areas. So while waiting for her we camwhored outside..and it was really a nice day, not hot at all..

How? Ada (Any) potential as models or not??

We went out to the park too to let the kids play. This was the first time ever cos usually all the time cannot be wasted from my shopping) but I thought the weather was just too good to let them stay in doors (finally the mom sacrifices for the kids..blek) The kids were so happy but Amah just had to endure the outdoor for a while until I cannot tahan (stand it) anymore…Apah was busy snapping pictures of them and suddenly my lil samseng (rough) girl climbed up one of the playground thingy…dun know what it’s called la..but it was like kinda high and Kylie of course has no fear of whatever!

The Christmas lights & deco inside the mall was really nothing to shout about so I’m not going to load any pics here…too many leow ma..

Backdated – Holiday Activities

January 8, 2008 · 16 Comments

During the school holidays, I will drag Kieran to the office while Kylie stays with Apoh. I can’t leave Kieran with Apoh as he will just watch cartoons on Astro non-stop! So I can’t allow that even if it’s school holidays and with peer pressure suggestion from Oscar’s Mommy, I bought a few workbooks to prepare him for Standard 2. However, I had to go out at times and couldn’t monitor him, hence we were not able to complete the workbooks. It was not easy to get him to do the work and it was a lot of screaming (worse than asking him to practice his piano) and threatening (I throw away your toy ah…).

I will usually choose his clothings for the day but there was one day he quietly changed into something else and while I was not noticing he will be playing instead of doing his work…so there was once he got so tired and ended up liddis…

Pengsan (fainted) or not?

By the way, the position he fell asleep was right in front of the door way into my office and thank goodness we didn’t have any outsider/customer visitors coming in at that time!!

Eat eat Gathering & Picasso in the making..

January 6, 2008 · 29 Comments

Yesterday we had a eating gathering & it turned out to be more of a laughing gathering and my side hurt like mad from all the eating & laughing…

We had something different this time, away from the commercial restaurants, this restaurant is in a house, with no signboard..and dinner has to be ordered one day in advance subject to availability..they serve the Hakka Lui Char (some mixed vege & rice with tea) & Hakka “Pun Choi” (mixture of veg, meat, seafood, abalone, scallops all in one dish). We had “Pun Choi” and it was not bad…Location : No.67 Jalan Gasing, 46000 Petaling Jaya. Tel No.

We were supposed to have 10 people as the dish was prepared for 10 at RM420.00 nett. However, only 8 of us turned up. King’s Wife is missing from the picture as she was still stuck in the jam… :( So LB, now u know what is “Pun Choi” la..next time u come back we bring u there lor..

After dinner we proceeded to Star Bucks to chat, actually laugh more like it. We laughed so loud I think we scared away the customers around us! Muahahahahaha..

********************************

My lil Picasso….

While Amah was out my lil Picasso was at work decorating the furniture and the walls!! Discovered it just now & it got Apah so upset and he was scrubbing away after I took the pictures!!

Christmas dinner (backdated la..)

January 1, 2008 · 25 Comments

Remember I bought the turkey from Singapore? It was frozen hard like a rock and it was still very frozen when we reached home!! (cost of frozen turkey at only SGD29+ converted to RM should be around RM80+ for a 5 kg bird!! We can only get like 1 kg + with that amount here la!!)

Then it was taken out to be thawed over two days (since it was so frozen!) and was roasted and ended liddis…

It was the yummiest turkey I ever eaten thanks to my cousin Madam Yong who happens to be bestest cook in the family! She also baked chicken pies & made the mushroom soup (mushrooms also from Singapore and according to the cookspert aka Madam Yong, the turkey & mushrooms were of the bestest quality which we can’t get here in KL).

The cupcakes were baked by my friend’s daughter..delivered just on time for the occasion but we were just simply too full to eat them…

However, the dinner did start off with a bang, I mean BANG as in BING BING BANG BANG….well, as usual we have a certain family who never fails to turn up late for any family gatherings so that got Apoh kinda agitated and of course someone has to irritate her and “fireworks” exploded till a point of no return and for all who knows how Apoh is like when she starts cracking up..it was quite a scene…nevertheless, the arrival of our lovely cousin Madam Yong did lighten the atmosphere up and we still managed to enjoy the dinner of cleaned up the turkey till there was only bones left!! Burrrpppp..
