Happy Christmas to me…happy Christmas to me…

December 23, 2007 · 47 Comments

I just couldn’t resist getting myself a gift for Christmas. Actually I’ve been looking to buy this for quite some time but just didn’t know which one to get until I came across this really good sales guy who looks like Jay Chow! He was so good he convinced me that I should get this thing..but then I didn’t buy it immediately and still gave it some thought over a week..then I read in that this lady too was getting it and I then decided that I shouldn’t delay further…so I got myself this on top of many other stuff (yes yes Amah has been shopping…n shopping…)…the downside was and the most potong steam (anti climax) part was that I got it slightly more expensive than hers and she had more freebies!!! blek!

zheng zheng zheng…..*drum roll*….

Green World

October 1, 2007 · 17 Comments

I’m going green in this post…wah not environmental issue la…errr..maybe might be a little..my garden again! New things in my garden!!

My longbeans, bittergourd and ladysfinger plants have finally borne fruit! Yippeeee!! Yet to taste the long beans after my harvest yesterday…As for the bittergourd, not to my taste but it’s for Apoh la..she makes juice with it..

But it’s not easy to take care of the garden leh, not only must water them & put fertiliser, there is one thing we have to be careful of, make sure that they are not attacked by pesky pests like these!!

Wah this bugger or rather these buggers almost killed my beautiful pink flower (don’t know the name n too lazy to search for it. I was just commenting how come they ate mine and not my neighbour’s since they don’t live there and their plants just grow so well!

Thank God I discovered it early and killed it like smash smash!! And Apah had to make this comment..”Ayo, you just killed another beautiful butterfly..” WTF?! This beautiful butterfly gonna produce more pests to destroy my plants leh! Then I realised the caterpillars also started destroying my neighbour’s flowers and I tried to kill as many as I could reach through the fence. But then hor, it was kinda eerieee lor cos each time before I smash the fatso pest I sort of feel like it’s like staring at me lor.its eyes like kinda big and like staring at me lor.. Then there’s this other pest that keeps eating my sunflower leaves…hate it lor..but it really looks beautiful wor…I didn’t kill this one la..

Super Busy Day

August 17, 2007 · 21 Comments

Today is my absolute last day for my last minute shopping for stuff to bring over to Downunder. I’m famous for this, always last minute packing! But I have to get everything in order as I plan to check in earlier at Sentral. But I started the day still with my usual routine, gardening and then I saw this! Basket! I absolutely cannot tahan this, rubbish everywhere. We have quite a nice little park next to us but some inconsiderate, no read book mia people must throw their rubbish in the public area instead of their own rubbish compartment! They also have more dogs than the allowed number and thus attracted 2 stray dogs to our area. So whenever they throw their rubbish out the stray dogs will help themselves tearing the garbage bag apart and left rubbish everywhere, which includes disgusting sanitary pads and baby diapers, SOILED OF COURSE!

Both me and another neighbour have seen them throw the rubbish before but we didn’t manage to catch them on film! We have filed a complain with the local council and lets see when they will take action.

I polished the wooden panel flooring as I got it tailor made by the hardware store since Ikea don’t stock this anymore. (Weyo? I bought 3 pieces of this from Ikea some years ago during one of the sales so now not enuf lor…) Have to do this in stages as I made 15 pieces!! To be continued when I get back but hopefully when I get it’s like miraculously been polished by some kind soul leh…and painted too I hope!

Then called Mto2Angels to meet for lunch as I wanna get a pressie for my good ol’ pal from Melbourne who’s offering me his home to stay while I’m there. We had the yummie beef noodle at this coffee shop near Central Market/China Town. Hot environment but worth it la… What pressie is that until have to go to China town leh? Some fishing tackle thingy la!

After that I went to One Utama to continue my hunt for more gifts for my cousins in Sydney. And I still have a few more persons whom I haven’t got anything yet lor..HELP!!!! Nevermind..I still have Friday afternoon….I HOPE!

When I reached Apoh’s place, Kylie was still sleeping but she woke up shortly. So I decided to bring her to the park, just to spend a bit of time with her before I go..sobz…I will miss her and of course Kieran too la but he’s still not back from school ma..

She had a good time as always. She loves to run and climb ma!

Then I had to finish my gluey birdsnest that mom made, or rather asked the maid to make so it ended up liddis! So geli as there were still a lot of small feather fragments in them and it was so thick as my mom didn’t monitor how much the maid took! So careless lor…so I told her, I will prepare it the next time! (wei I had to buy all the way from HK one leh…)

Anyway…I know I always complain how the kids drive me nuts but I will definitely miss them like crazy…

I LOVE U KIDS & WILL MISS U SOOOO MUCH!!!!

Garden Chat with Kylie

August 10, 2007 · 13 Comments

Every morning I will go one round my garden admiring my plants but I have not gone to the extent of talking to the plant la! Well according to Moz his dad talks to the plants and the plants grow very well! I don’t want the aunties around the neighbourhood to think I’m out from a loony house!

While we were in the garden, I had this conversation with Kylie. She was pointing at my plant and said this…

K-Wa a dis? (What is this?)

Me-It’s a leave..

K- Wa a dis? (pointed at another plant)

Me-It’s a plant

K-Wa a dis?  (pointed at another plant)

Me-It’s a plant

K-Wa a dis?  (pointed at another plant)

Me-It’s also a plant

K-Nizze..(Nice)

Me-*Beaming with pride*

As I was leaving the house the neighbourhood gas delivery man was loading a gas tank for a neighbour, and to my shock he was actually smoking! Gosh! Crazy nut! So me as a blogger of course cannot let go opportunity to snap a picture and announce to the world la!

Weekend and Parent-Grandma-Teacher Meet

July 23, 2007 · 11 Comments

I had a good and productive Saturday, early in the morning catch up on my TVB serials, then see a customer and con sold him something in the process. Then zoomed Kieran to his music class and then went to see another customer and also managed to con sell him something also. Then I rushed back to pick Kieran up and we stopped over Tesco to buy some groceries. Bought some black soil too. Do you all know that black soil is the cheapest in Tesco, cheaper than Sg Buloh! So next time if you need black soil, please get from Tesco. (Nope, I’m not sponsored by Tesco!!)

Then we headed back and it was still drizzling. The moment I reached home, I continued to boil watch my TVB serials as I was too lazy to do anything else, e.g. baking (which I told Angie I would bake something over the weekend). When the rain stopped, Kieran reminded me about planting the vege seeds we bought some time ago!

So I reluctantly quickly got up from my couch potato postion and began planting the seeds while the kids play with the sand the contractor left in my car driveway. I labeled on the pots so that I don’t get mixed up which is which. They were long beans, kacang botol (neh the one you fry with belacan) and lady’s fingers.

K- Mum, when the plant grows we can eat the beans?

M-Yes

K-Cool!

On Sunday, we went to Ikea after church, YES….you read it right, I went to Ikea again! And totally forgot to go to Nomadic Mom’s son’s birthday party. *head hangs low in shame* Kieran asked what happened to my brains but you know how I retaliated back? Well I used his school work to attack him lor, I told him since he always claims that he doesn’t know Chinese, then there must be something wrong with his brains too! Bad hor me? I felt guilty and that was it!

Parent-Grandma-Teacher Meet

Today Apoh made me drive her to Kieran’s school to see his teachers. I was reluctant but had to do it as she has been bugging me for quite some time. Weyo? Her precious grandchild, aka my son, Kieran has been getting beating from the teachers. Apoh will ask Kieran each day whether he received any beating from his teachers and Kieran usually proudly admits YES and like from a few teachers too!

According to his form teacher, Kieran is always fighting with his friends and he beats them up (did he inherit this from me ah? I used to beat up boys when I was in kindy and I think up to Standard 2!). He doesn’t pay attention and likes to talk a lot (just like me again….but Apah oso la) and due to that, he usually isn’t able to copy his homework from the whiteboard. I tried to tell her that I’m ok with him not being able to finish the homework or even failing his exams but she said if she doesn’t reprimand him then that will affect the other students. True also lor. Apoh kept asking them to get just one teacher to beat him instead of so many but that is impossible la! Apoh also said that she felt heartsick that her precious grandchild had to go through this but I reckon he should go through this in order to groom him for the future. I don’t want my son to be overprotected till he become one “khuan keuk chai” (skirt leg boy, in other words some useless mia man la).

At the end of the meeting, we couldn’t even reach to any conclusion or able to come up with any solutions lor. The teacher said she has even used the call the police method and coincidentally a police officer did come to the school and the boys were scared but they were only good for the next 3 days only! Die or not??? HELP!!!!
