How I celebrated Mother’s Day

May 12, 2008 · 27 Comments

Woke up annoyed as usual as my maid slept in while I slept in…

Then Apah made breakfast and I had to monitor since I don’t trust his style….and yes….he did it again…..ANNOYED me to the max as he didn’t listen to simple instructions…classic answers..

…how I know your style? (we will be married 10 years by year end…)

…how I know what you are thinking? (errrr..how about asking?)

bleh bleh bleh….

Then he said something really stupid (actually this is nothing new as he always say things liddat) and got me real mad and I went on with my usual speech….soooo annoying!!

Then as we dilly dallied…(ok ok mostly my fault…) we were really late for church and when we departed the house we were already half and hour late..so by the time we arrive church mai almost over!! So Apah decided halfway to go straight to MidValley and skip church…(tsk tsk tsk….bad bad bad….).

We headed straight to Gardens as I no longer have interest in the old MidValley besides Jusco…really…

Shopping began in Isetan, then Pumpkin Patch was on sale!!!!!!!! I know I overbuy for the kids and most of the time they outgrow the clothes so fast but I really can’t help it. They are sooooo beautiful ma….

Then we proceeded to Robinsons and ngam ngam it was on the household item floor and there was a cup cake decorating session going on! So I quickly sat down and there were not many people around anyway eventhough the session already started like 15 minutes. Probably it was during lunch time. The decorating tips they were demonstrating was not interesting at all, in fact they kept decorating the same style again & again & again, which was piped butter icing into a clown sitting on the cup cake!….YAWN……..and bigger YAWN….but I stuck around as they had a decorating contest and looking at the people there, they really don’t look like the baking type so I thought I have a very good chance!!!

Contest began and I decided not to follow their style since it was only one style they taught! They were open to whatever design we like. So I decided to make a clown octopus instead. After glancing over to my opponents’ creation (including Kieran as they allowed him to join in also!!) I was sooooo confident! Hahahahhahahaha…

Then they had to call in more participants as they were giving out 2 prizes (RM50 Robinsons cash voucher each and the grand prize was some Italian plastic household item. After the next batch completed their decorating, I was still very confident! (eh eh perasannya….)

Well, what do you think? The judge took out 3 best designs out of the 10 cupcakes and of course mine was one of them. So my chances was like 2/3 probability leow! Then he took out one more and I was a guaranteed winner leow! Finally he had to choose the grand prize winner but really, it was not a very hard decision but he had to play along la….hahahahaha (me so proud…..) and the grand prize went to….

Me! Naturally…..why? I had my kids cheering me on while I was piping the deco…

(the one on the far right is mine, sorry photo so cacat, cos Apah was the camera man!)

Then only we went for lunch at Crystal Jade. The service sucked big time, we had to search for the menu ourselves, then we had to take our own cutlery and after several attempts we finally got the attention of somebody to take down our order. I get really annoyed with such bad service as I felt the service should be at tip top condition since the price of the food is of the high high side ok! If I don’t require service I would have gone elsewhere on the lower ground floor ok!

The food HOWEVER was soooo blardy good it took our blues away…and Apah was saying…aiya forget it la don’t complain la…the food so good leh…

LB, the lormaikai was one of the bestest lormaikai I EVER had and sorry I didn’t take the picture of the before…KAKAKAKAKKAKA

slurpppssss…..

Why am I MIA??

April 9, 2008 · 24 Comments

Hi I felt it was appropriate that I explain my absence from updating my blog…

Firstly, I’ve been busy with my maid, meaning:

I still do my laundry as I can’t trust her with it…

I have to monitor everything she does…STILL after 2.5 months..

There has been quite a lot of external laundry to do of which I can’t trust the maid to do also…

Then there’s the kids that that drive me up the wall during my mornings…this one is partly due to inefficiency of the maid also…

But actually the real reason is….

Sending Maid Off

December 18, 2007 · 27 Comments

Yes the day arrived to send her home came and gone…phewwww…..I deviated from my plan a little but nevertheless it worked! We confused her a little on the departure date and time so she was not able to know until we were ready to leave the house! I have packed her bag (with whatever miserable stuff she has, not much) and set aside the clothes she needed to change to board the plane. Someone told I should have kicked sent her home in a boat instead of flying but I was not sure how to get the boat tickets and how reliable it is, I mean as in security la…like in the airport, at least I’m assured she has like least likelihood of escaping once she enters the departure hall!

As I was checking through her whatever belongings, I found RM0.70 coins hidden in her sanitary pad. I was like, duhhhh..hiding things in sanitary pad is like the oldest trick there was and of course the amount is not that big but still I took it back. She probably nicked the 70 sen from mom’s place while we were away in Singapore.

I did a body check but of course I didn’t check if she’s hidden anything in the “holes” inside the body la! Wah so disgusting man..if she’s hidden some there, let it be la! Bluekkkk…uwek…uwek…

I told her again why she is not able to take anything else besides the things she originally brought from Indonesia. I usually bring the maid to buy whatever they want to bring back home once they are leaving me for good and also give them an angpow (monatary gift in a red packet) but for this maid, NO WAY! I made her sign a letter indicating why she is taking home less one month’s salary, just in case she comes back to me saying I have underpaid her. Reasons for deducting the salary was very obvious and of course it’s not able to cover whatever she’s destroyed during her 2 years here but I am sure it will affect her nevertheless.

As we were approaching the check in counter, I noticed her eyes were getting red & tears were welling up. I was actually at one moment did feel sorry for her and took out some money to give to her…but I hesitated and as we walked towards the departure gate, I dug into my pocket to take out the money but somehow my hand froze in the pocket and didn’t come out!! You guys must be thinking Amah is so cruel and cold hearted but for the things she has put me throught even to the very last day as she walked in the departure hall, it was stress all the way! Not worth it la! Even the spirit of Christmas did not move me to give her the extra pocket money! And after seeing that she left one piece of her dirty laundry hidden in the pails in her toilet & also some rotten food hiding in containers, I feel even better now for not giving her the money!

As we walked away seeing that she has passed immigration, it was such a relief…it was like a very heavy burden lifted off my shoulders! Boy suddenly we felt so hungry and wanted to eat at McDonalds but upon seeing the queue, we decided not to and went back to OUG to eat dim sum…somehow the food tasted exceptionally well, probably not because the cook improved..it was most probably because I was in an exceptionally good mood! Yipppeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!! (Not even the thought of having to do my own laundry & taking care of the kids can take this happy mood from me!!)

Maid Saga..

December 7, 2007 · 35 Comments

10 days more till I kick send the maid back to her homeland. Yet she still has to create problems. I think it was just last month that I accidentally came across her charging her mobile phone in my office building. Where did she get it? Her boy friend it seems…Nothing comes free cos I have a mobile that is missing and she must have nicked it and passed to her so called boy friend in exchange for the cheaper mobile and phone card.

But her RM50 & RM20 prepaids are never enough as I know she has been harrassing my office staff to help her get the prepaid cards to send her endless love messages to her “Ayank” (sayang-ku/my love). I have kept the mobile phone locked up..and never left her alone at home again since then..Apparently my neighbour has seen her boyfriend come to our house and they were holding hands outside. Whether they went in to make out we are still unsure.

HOWEVER….she was able to get another mobile phone again as Angie found her message in tiny weeny piece of scrap paper to one of my staff requesting to help buy her a prepaid card. So this morning, I went into her room to search for the phone but as I was digging into her stuff, I couldn’t find it. Then I noticed my deep fryer machine. I just wanted to check whether she has cleaned it properly and when I opened the box, there lies her new mobile phone, an upgraded version of course! I quickly hid it and then locked it without her knowledge and then quickly said this from upstairs, ” Lets go!” (meaning to leave the house now..) I can see that she’s been inside her room to take her change of clothes and I was wondering if she knows that her phone is missing. I plan not to confront her this time and pretend like nothing happened.

Upon reaching the office, she quickly asked to use my staff’s mobile as she has to urgently message someone. Who else?? Must be to notify her lover to get her another phone! I can’t believe that she’s so daring. Aparently she has a lot of cash to spend as she’s been trying to shove them to my staff to help her get the prepaid card. I am not sure if my staff has helped her but of course they said to me that they have denied to help.

I have planned how I can surprise her the day I send her to the airport. I will make her wear marked under garments & clothing the day before and place her in a place where she will never dream of sleeping in (meaning not my house or my mom’s house or anywhere she would think she will be sleeping in) and then will bring fresh under garments and clothing the day she leaves. I will make sure she returns the under garments that has been marked to me before she goes into the car. Her bag will not be with her of course! So there’s no way she can hide anything anywhere! I will pack her bag only with the things and clothes she brought her from her home and will not allow her to bring back any clothings that we have given to her here. Weyo? Maybe some of you will think I’m so cruel, but for the stress she has put me through, I think she doesn’t deserve anything extra other than her monthly salary!

So what do you think of my plan? Do you think it will work?? But the thought of it also make me so the happy lor….Muahahahahahahhahahaa…..(majorly evil laughter)

Shocking Stories - True by the way…

May 24, 2007 · 29 Comments

Today memang ada shocking news for all. In fact there are 2 separate stories but not related.

No.1 Story : Freaking $”£!&£& Maid

My mom as usual volunteered to come to my office to pick up Kylie and the maid as I was out and could be back late. But as usual when my mom says she’s coming she comes and doesn’t like to wait and leaves you not much time to pack up or finish whatever. The moment she arrived, the maid was obviously not ready but she still managed to bring down the garbage to throw. She left the garbage aside and gestured to my mom to wait while she opened up the store downstairs. My mom saw that she was not carrying anything but when she came out she was carrying another plastic bag. Then she picked up the garbage and took off like lightning. My mom suspected something amiss, she decided to get down from the car and gave chase! Knowing my mom’s age, of course she is much slower than that blardy maid la! Anyway, by the time my mom caught up she saw the maid flinging the garbage in the giant bin and at the same time she saw a middle aged indonesian guy holding on the same plastic bag my maid was carrying earlier! So my mom asked the maid why is that bag with him and insisted she take it back. Guess what it was? It was a container filled with rice plus a generous amount of green vegetables & chicken!

I was out training at my customer’s place when I received an sms from Angie saying I have news of my maid from my mom. I was thinking as usual la, must be lazy etc…But the moment I came back and got to know the above story, I was so angry I actually punished her and as she was so guilty she actually accepted her punishment quietly. It’s not that I am angry that she was donating my food to other people but the fact that she can’t freaking complete her own chores but she has time to do such a thing. It’s mind boggling how the hell did she get the guts and nerves to do this in the first place! I also cannot be sure if she has stole any money and given to this so called relative. She said this relative was leaving for Indonesia so she just gave her food for the last time before he leaves. Can you believe this crap of a story? She said that the food was supposed to be her food but she didn’t eat it and kept it for him! WTF! She even said that she kept and then microwaved it!

Not long after that, I was wondering what she was doing and then caught her in the bathroom observing my brother’s maid bathing my nephew. I was like, duhhh….wtf are you there? I went in and then asked her what are you looking at? Tengok wayang ah? (watching movie is it?) Again that got me dem boiling hot and I punished her again. She was not only freaking lazy but so dem ham sup till my nephew’s kkc (penis) oso em fong kor ah (cannot escape her)?

When I got back to the office the next day which was yesterday, I found the the light and exhaust fan turned on, meaning she left it on since the day before and the back door wide open. Not only that, she left all the utensils all unwashed and the kitchen at a mess and also the lunch plates all unwashed! So she has time to pack lunch for her “relative” but no time to complete her basic tasks! I tell you, have you come across such a specimen?? I was hoping she runs away but she’s so damn thick skin, still sticking around! Blardy hell! I actually have to confine her now with no access to outside unless I’m around. You say, employ maid TKL (stressful) or not?

No.2 Shocking Story : Cheating Music Teacher

Today came across this story from my customer (MdmD). She has been sending her daughter to for piano lessons with this lady for 6 years and the daughter has not taken any exams at all while with her. So Mdm D insisted that her daughter go for exams this year. So the teacher cheater collected the exam fees for the Trinity Colleage exam for both practical and theory in May 07 and also November 07. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing, it’s like her daughter only taken Grade 1 exam and has not taken any exams ever but how can the teacher cheater prepare her for exams twice a year all of a sudden? And why did she collect the fee for November so early? That’s not all….May is coming to an end but her daughter has yet to sit for the so-called exam! The teacher cheater actually gave excuse that there’s some problem and the exam has been postponed! WTF? Trinity College is a British college exam la, cannot simply postpone one.

But that is not all! The teacher cheater also changed the amount on the cheque for Mdm D’s daughter’s April’s fees from RM130 to RM730 and the cheque actually cleared! What that’s like a crime leh! I just couldn’t believe how Mdm D can be so gullible and naive to fall into this trap and to think that she has been sending the daughter to this teacher for 6 freaking years! Then I remembered my friend who is a music teacher, so I called her to check the facts. She said Trinity has exams scheduled for May-June and November and there is no such thing as change of dates! Then when Mdm D stated the facts to the teacher cheater she was stuttering and “e e eh eh” trying to beat around the bush. She couldn’t answer to Mdm D’s questions. And then we got hold of the Trinity College number and gave them a call to check whether Mdm D’s daughter was registered at all but of course she was NOT! She even found out that the exam fees was only RM120 and the teacher cheater actually took RM230 from her!

I really couldn’t believe that at all! Whenever I try to sell something to this Mdm D she always takes so long to decide and said expensive la bla bla bla…eventhough it’s for a fact that I was trying to sell her something that helps ease her burden in the laundry. And when I try to collect money she will always try to postpone to the next month, she will pay la but just like to drag a bit la. But how come she falls into such a trap? In fact this is not the first time she has been cheated!

So this story serves as a reminder to us all, to check facts and get 2nd or 3rd opinions before committing anything, especially when it comes to money of course!

Maid from Hell Part 2-Backdated

April 12, 2007 · 15 Comments

This is a very backdated post thanks to our very reliable internet provider that dies on me all the time.

Ok ok..maid from hell stories can go on forever but I can’t be writing about her all the time right??? But yesterday she really pissed me off max max lor, maybe upset from Apah also la. Well we were out and maid stayed at home, doing what she’s supposed to do, like cleaning the house etc..

Had a lunch date with 3 pretty maidens and me so stupid-ded didn’t realise it was one of the maiden’s mia birthday! Happy belated birthday Nyonya! We were chatting shiok shiok and Apah had to buzz me a few times to go back as he wanted to watch F1! Soooo irritating…

Once I reached home, I immediately had the urge to bake something so asked the maid to bring me the cake mixer. As usual she will bring one thing and leave out another and then when I ask her for things she will not know what I’m referring to or have no freaking idea where the things are. My house is very small, and I have a few of you who can identify with me since you guys came to my house before. I don’t understand how she can not know where she put the things lor.

The daily ritual of transporting things to and from the house and office, she will miss out on something and usually very important that I can’t do without and will set me off screaming like a lunatic.

In fact, the screaming is a daily routine. So that day when I came back to see my son’s school shoes and her own dirty laundry still in the ground floor toilet, that set me on fire! I already scolded her about doing the laundry and washing in the morning so that the sun can dry them but she still left them there….UNWASHED! So I decided to throw away her clothes since she didn’t want to wash them but she ran with me to the bathroom and snatched from my hands and wailing at the same time.

M-Sorry mam sorry mam sob sob sob sob…

ME-No more sorry! I am sick of hearing your sorries…it has no value lagi

M-Jangan mam sorry mam sorry mam sob sob sob

Me-Let go! I’m throwing them away. LET GO! *SCREAM*

I managed to grab her clothes but she managed to grab her undergarments (phew…imagine I had to touch her undergarments! blecccchhh…) and dumped them in a plastic bag and threw it outside.

Apah-*pssttt* u really going to throw away the clothes ah?

Me-*psssstt* u think I stupid ah? The clothes I asked tailor to make specially for her leh, cost me RM50+ a pair leh! Seow meh…

Well, the scolding I’ve been giving her has obviously been like singing to her but this throwing baju/clothes act was more surreal to her so from that day on her clothes were washed immediately after her shower!

Maid From Hell

February 2, 2007 · 21 Comments

The past few days the maid actually made me scream, as in scream at the top of my lungs and all hell break loose type. As it is, her work load is not that heavy, I do a lot of my own laundry, and she has been ironing for a year with a steam iron which is the dobi type, better than any steam irons anyone can get from electrical shops in the market, and yet “bergaris-garis” (with lines & folds)and looks worse than before it’s been ironed!

She’s disobedient and likes to challenge and test my patience when I instruct her to do something, she will like to determine at her own pace and time despite me telling her that I want it done immediately. Her classic answer is “nanti la” (wait la). I said no, now but she is stubborn enough to do something else even if it’s a short thing, she will still do it first before doing what I tell her to do. Terrer leh! Eh liddat you think I can swallow and keep quiet ah? OF COURSE NOT LEH! I shout at her la! Ask nicely don’t do wor…doesn’t that annoy you? Don’t give me bull story that she’s just a maid and her pay is so low, cannot expect miracles from her..eh who is asking for a miracle? I just ask her to do a simple task like any other normal maid should do leh, CANNOT AH? WTF!

I know she’s been very cincai with even Kylie nowadays, I used to think, aiya other work lauya (no good) nevermind, but Kylie’s things must be good. But then now I noticed Kylie is always dirty and her diaper gets so heavy until almost reaching the floor. Eh liddat can tahan (acceptable)ah?

The only thing I can depend on her is the cooking also with supervision and instructions, and still occasionally make me scream. How la???

Psst..I oso can’t get in my comments wor..dunno what happened leh
